The contest came to a climax in the last minutes when Barcelona's seasoned striker, Lewandowski, was given a rare second opportunity at a penalty after Vicente Guaita, the goalkeeper for Celta, had blocked his first effort. The penalty was retaken because Guaita had prematurely crossed his line, according to a VAR assessment.
