Manchester United are positioning themselves to make Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz their primary transfer target for summer 2026, with the club prepared to offer up to £78 million for the 20-year-old Türkiye international, according to reports from Caught Offside.

The move comes as United face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal for the highly rated attacking midfielder, though Juventus have made clear their intention to retain the player who has become integral to their long-term planning.

United are prepared to exceed offers from Chelsea and Arsenal in the race to secure Yildiz's signature. The club views the young forward as a long-term attacking solution, with some reports suggesting the fee could reach €90 million (£76 million). Chelsea's interest stems from their continued youth-focused rebuild, while Arsenal are also monitoring the situation closely.

Rising star Yildiz impresses at Juventus

Yildiz has established himself as one of Europe's most promising young talents since breaking into Juventus's first team. The Türkiye international has made over 90 senior appearances for the Serie A club, contributing 18 goals while demonstrating versatility across attacking positions. His performances have drawn comparisons to former Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero and Danish playmaker Michael Laudrup.

United manager Ruben Amorim's side currently sits mid-table in the Premier League following a challenging start to the 2025-2026 season. The club made significant investments in their attack during the summer, bringing in Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, though the trio has yet to consistently deliver the expected impact at Old Trafford.

Despite already possessing depth in attacking positions—including Mason Mount, Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes—United view Yildiz as a potential long-term solution.

The young forward's contract with Juventus runs until 2029, and the Italian club is reportedly considering offering him improved terms to ward off interest from England. Yildiz has shown no apparent urgency to leave Turin, suggesting any transfer will require extensive negotiation.

Juventus's determination to keep their star, combined with the player's contentment in Italy, means the potential £78 million fee would represent one of the Premier League's most significant transfer battles heading into 2026.
