Reports in the Argentine press claim that Mauro Icardi and China Suarez have patched things up after a relationship crisis triggered by alleged messages with another woman, although neither side has officially confirmed the reports.
Mauro Icardi, Galatasaray's Argentine striker, was reportedly left at the center of a new media storm after claims emerged that China Suarez had seen private messages between him and another woman.
According to Argentine journalist Yanina Latorre, Suarez had already been unsettled by some of Icardi's behavior before the alleged messages came to light. After seeing them, she reportedly packed up her belongings and left the home she shared with Icardi.
Latorre said the alleged incident led Suarez to call off the relationship, adding: "China ended the relationship for this reason. Mauro Icardi is now completely devastated."
Following the reported split, Argentine media claimed that Icardi spent the night trying to talk Suarez around and repair the relationship. Earlier reports said his efforts had failed, but later coverage claimed that the couple had reconciled after his continued attempts to make peace.
The reports, however, remain unconfirmed by both Icardi and Suarez.
After the reconciliation claims, Suarez shared new images on Instagram showing Icardi imitating a lion.
Her reaction in the post drew attention among Argentine social media users and quickly turned the couple's private dispute into another trending entertainment story.
Icardi and Suarez have remained under close media attention in Argentina because of the earlier controversy known as "Wandagate," a widely discussed celebrity scandal involving Icardi, Suarez and Wanda Nara.
Since then, their relationship and social media posts have continued to be followed closely by Argentine entertainment outlets.
