The Houston Rockets overcame a significant deficit to secure a 113‑108 victory over the Orlando Magic in an NBA regular-season matchup on Thursday night, extending their winning streak to three games.

Rockets mount comeback

Houston trailed by as many as 19 points in the first half, with Orlando capitalizing on early scoring runs from Desmond Bane and Paolo Banchero. However, the Rockets shifted momentum in the third quarter with a decisive run, reclaiming control and steadily building their lead through a balanced team effort.

While forward Kevin Durant led the team with a season-high 40 points, it was the all-around play of Sengun that helped stabilize Houston. Logging 31 minutes, Sengun contributed 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 block.

Alongside Sengun and Durant, Reed Sheppard added 20 points, including five three-pointers, and Jabari Smith Jr. chipped in with 13 points, providing the Rockets with multiple scoring options. For the Magic, Bane led all scorers with 30 points, while Banchero nearly recorded a triple-double with 19 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. Despite their efforts, Orlando could not stop Houston’s late-game surge.

The win marks the Rockets’ 37th victory in 58 games this season. Houston now turns its attention to a road matchup against the Miami Heat, while Orlando will face the Detroit Pistons in their next contest.
