The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has referred 11 Super Lig clubs to its disciplinary committee following incidents during matchweek 32.
According to an official statement, the TFF’s legal department sent multiple clubs to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK), which is responsible for reviewing rule violations and handing down sanctions in Turkish football.
The clubs referred from the top tier include Gaziantep FK, Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor, Samsunspor, Galatasaray, Kayserispor, Antalyaspor, Genclerbirligi, Kasimpasa and Kocaelispor.
These referrals stem from disciplinary breaches recorded during recent fixtures, although specific infractions were not detailed in the statement.
The disciplinary process has extended beyond the Super Lig, with several teams from the second tier, known as Trendyol 1. Lig, also being referred.
Those clubs include Hatayspor, Igdir FK, Amed Sportif Faaliyetler, Bandirmaspor and Esenler Erokspor, each facing disciplinary evaluation for various reasons.
Alongside the clubs, two managers have also been referred to the board under precautionary measures, meaning potential sanctions could be applied before a final ruling is issued.
These include Volkan Demirel, who recently parted ways with Genclerbirligi, and Osman Ozkoylu, whose Esenler Erokspor side secured a place in the promotion play-off final after finishing third in the regular season.
The PFDK serves as the key judicial body in Turkish football, reviewing cases brought forward by the federation’s legal unit and issuing penalties where violations are confirmed.
