Turkish judokas wrapped up the Adult European Cup in Dubrovnik, Croatia, with a total of eight medals, three gold, two silver and three bronze, finishing atop the medal standings among 32 competing nations.
On the first day of competition, the Turkish team claimed one gold, one silver and three bronze medals. They added two more gold and one silver on the second day.
In the women's 63 kg category, Habibe Ciloglu defeated Croatia's Nina Cvjetko in the final to take gold. Merve Azak won gold in the women's 48 kg final against Hungary's Szabina Szeleczki, while Recep Ergin claimed the men's +100 kg title by defeating Serbia's Vidak Maljevic.
Duygu Dirgen settled for silver in the women's +78 kg after falling to Moldova's Oxana Diacenco in the final, and Muhammed Mustafa Koc took silver in the men's 81 kg after losing to Czech Republic's Petr Mlady.
Ezgi Karademir earned bronze in the women's 63 kg by defeating Italy's Flavia Favorini, while Yagmur Yilmaz claimed bronze in the women's +78 kg with a win over Slovenia's Tara Janjic.
In the men's 60 kg, Emirhan Karahan rounded out the medal haul with a bronze after beating Switzerland's David Gauch.
