Turkish young stars Arda Guler of Real Madrid and Kenan Yildiz of Juventus are left empty-handed after Week 4 matches in the UEFA Champions League, as both players' teams failed to clinch a victory over their opponents.

Real Madrid, facing Liverpool away, suffered a 1-0 loss to the English powerhouse, while Juventus earned 1 point at home against Portuguese champions Sporting Lisbon with a 1-1 draw, with both Turkish internationals starting in the lineups.

Mac Allister’s header secures Liverpool’s win

At Anfield, Liverpool ended a challenging streak with a commanding 1-0 victory over Real Madrid. Alexis Mac Allister's header was the only goal of the match, though Madrid were fortunate that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made a series of key saves to keep the scoreline manageable.

Arda Guler, who played until the 82nd minute before being substituted for Alexander-Arnold, a former Liverpool player, contributed with one shot on target and a solid 88% pass accuracy.

After the result, Liverpool rose to nine points, equalizing with Real Madrid at the top of the group.

Yildiz's efforts not enough as Juventus stumble to draw

In Turin, Italy, Yildiz's Juventus was also unable to secure a victory, drawing 1-1 at home against Sporting Lisbon. Despite a strong performance from Dusan Vlahovic, who equalized in the 34th minute after Maximiliano Araujo’s early goal for Sporting, the Italian side couldn’t find the breakthrough needed for a win.

Kenan Yildiz, who played a pivotal role throughout, was substituted off in the 87th minute for Jonathan David. During his time on the pitch, Yıldız contributed two key passes and maintained an 84% passing accuracy, adding to Juventus' attacking options.

With just three points from their opening four group-stage fixtures, Juventus find themselves in a precarious position, hovering just above the elimination zone in the table.
