Turkish motorcycle racers will compete across several European circuits this weekend, with national rider Deniz Oncu lining up at Britain's Silverstone Circuit in the Moto2 World Championship.
According to the Turkish Motorcycle Federation, Oncu will race for the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team as the championship gets underway at Silverstone.
Oncu is set to take part in free practice on Friday before moving on to qualifying on Saturday.
The Turkish rider will then line up for the 17-lap Moto2 race on Sunday, which is scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. Türkiye time. The race program provided by the federation also lists the 20-lap MotoGP event for 3 p.m. Türkiye time.
Moto2 is one of the main classes on the motorcycle Grand Prix racing calendar, while MotoGP is the top category.
Türkiye will also be represented in the European SSP300 Cup and the International Alpe Adria Motorcycle Championship at Italy's Cremona Circuit.
Oguz Tashan, Demir Donmez, Hasan Huseyin Bas, Murathan Yigit Yildiz and Turgut Durukan will take part in the Italian event, where free practice is scheduled for Friday. Qualifying and the opening races will follow on Saturday, before the second set of races gets underway on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Berkay Sariay, Uzay Alp Urcan and Ali Said Unal will compete in MotoMini Austria on Aug. 8-9, while Poyraz Bor will race in MotoMini Spain.
At the Slovak Karting Center, Sariay and Urcan will compete in the 190 class, while Unal will line up in the 160 category. Bor, meanwhile, will take part in the MotoMini 160 class at Spain's Pontes Circuit.
