Türkiye’s national compound archery teams have moved into the finals of the Hyundai Archery World Cup Stage 2 in China, setting up gold medal matches against the United States on May 9.
According to a statement from the Turkish Archery Federation, the competition is being held in Shanghai, where both the women’s and men’s compound teams have made it through to the final round.
The women’s team, made up of Hazal Burun, Emine Rabia Oguz and Defne Cakmak, is scheduled to face the United States at 05:02 Türkiye time (02:02 GMT). Shortly after, the men’s team, Batuhan Akcaoglu, Emircan Haney and Yagiz Sezgin, will also take on the United States at 05:40 Türkiye time (02:40 GMT).
By reaching the final stage in both categories, Türkiye’s compound teams have put in a consistent performance throughout the Shanghai leg of the World Cup, lining up two direct gold medal opportunities against the same opponent.
Both matches are set to take place on the same day, which places Türkiye in a position to compete for top honors in parallel events.
