Spanish journalist Ruben Uria reported that agents approached the La Liga club, which competes in Spain's top division, and suggested that a deal for Osimhen could be wrapped up for €75 million ($86.61 million).

Atletico Madrid turns down proposed deal

Atletico Madrid reportedly rejected the proposal because the futures of Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth have not yet been cleared up.

The Spanish club was also said to have questioned whether the suggested €75 million transfer fee was realistic, believing that Galatasaray would ask for a considerably higher amount before agreeing to let Osimhen leave.

Osimhen reportedly prepared to lower salary

According to the Turkish media report, Osimhen was ready to lower his salary significantly as part of an effort to make the potential transfer easier to complete.

However, Atletico Madrid did not take up the offer, with uncertainty surrounding its current forwards and doubts over Galatasaray's expected transfer fee shaping the club's response.
