Turkish tennis player Zeynep Sonmez has withdrawn from the French Open (Roland Garros) women’s doubles competition following an injury sustained during her second-round match in Paris.

Sonmez, partnering with Germany’s Tatjana Maria, was competing against Ukraine’s Anhelina Kalinina and Dayana Yastremska when the incident occurred.

While trailing 2–0 in the opening set, the 24-year-old attempted to chase down a shot but tripped over a courtside advertising board and fell to the ground.
