In a sign of deepening military ties, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov praised the Turkish military as "one of NATO's leading forces." Hasanov went on to say that Azerbaijan is "benefiting from their experience and adapting our system accordingly."
Adding to his praise, Hasanov specifically highlighted the development of Türkiye's defense industry. He expressed his satisfaction with its "rapid progress," noting how this advancement directly benefits Azerbaijan.
"We will equip ourselves with the most modern weapons, equipment, and ammunition," Hasanov said, underlining Azerbaijan's plan to leverage Türkiye's growing military industry to modernize its own armed forces.
Further emphasizing the potential for joint production in the defense industry, Hasanov added, "We will leverage the capabilities of our brother Türkiye to undertake joint production."
