Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that, as of October 4, 2024, Türkiye is hosting over 4.3 million foreign nationals at the "International Consultation Conference on Migration and Human Rights."

These include more than 1 million with residence permits, over 3 million Syrians under temporary protection and 213,169 individuals under international protection.

Türkiye's commitment to international human rights

Speaking at the conference, Yerlikaya emphasized Türkiye remains committed to all international human rights agreements. He pointed out that Türkiye’s migration management policies align with its national interests, rooted in human rights and civilization values.
