The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has issued a new regulation allowing for an increase in working hours.

The regulation, titled “Regulation Amending the Regulation on Special Procedures and Principles Regarding Work in Postal Work,” was published in the Official Gazette.

This amendment introduces regulations specifically for workers engaged in petroleum research, exploration and drilling activities.

According to the amendment, night working hours can now extend beyond 7.5 hours per day, contingent upon the worker’s written consent.

In addition to sectors such as tourism, private security, and health services, these regulations now encompass activities related to petroleum research, exploration and drilling.

They permit a two-shift work schedule within 24 hours, applicable to subcontractors operating within these workplaces.
