Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov strongly criticized recent Israeli remarks suggesting regime change in Iran, warning that such discourse could push the world toward chaos.
"Neither a single country nor a group of countries should discuss the change of power in another state. If such practices become normalized, the world may turn into hell," Peskov told state broadcaster Rossiya-1 in an interview on Sunday.
His comments came in response to statements from Israeli officials advocating for a change in leadership in Iran amid escalating tensions in the region.
Peskov also addressed French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks that a new EU sanctions package would bring Russia to the negotiating table regarding Ukraine. He dismissed the idea, saying: "Only logic and arguments can lead Russia to negotiations. Pressure or force will never work."
The Kremlin has consistently rejected external calls for political change in sovereign nations, framing such actions as dangerous precedents for global instability.
