On the first day of an unrestricted nationwide strike against the governing junta, two young men were shot dead in the suburbs of Conakry, the city of Guinea, according to family members and a medical source who spoke to the media.
“They shot him in the neck,” 18-year-old’s relative named Adama Keita told the media. Both a witness and a police source, who wished to remain anonymous, corroborated this. A physician at the hospital where he passed away also disclosed that a similar situation led to the death of another young guy.
