Joe & The Juice, the Danish coffee and juice bar chain, opened its first store in Türkiye on Friday at EMAAR Shopping Mall in Istanbul, with plans to expand to 80 outlets nationwide within the next decade.

The company targets eight stores in its first year and 25 within three years, expanding beyond Istanbul to cities such as Ankara and Izmir, as well as tourist destinations including Bodrum in Mugla and Cesme in Izmir.

Franchise partnership brings Danish brand to Türkiye

Founded in Denmark in 2002, Joe & The Juice has grown into a lifestyle-focused chain with more than 430 outlets in 16 countries. The brand, which emphasizes energy, health, and urban living, is now positioning itself to establish a strong presence in Türkiye.

The company’s Türkiye operations are being developed through a new franchise agreement with Food Quest, a regional partner. EMAAR Shopping Mall, where the first store is located, also houses a mix of international luxury brands, restaurants, and entertainment venues, making it a major destination for both Istanbul residents and tourists.

Türkiye as a key growth market

Chief Executive Officer Thomas Noroxe said the company’s launch in Türkiye marks a new chapter in its worldwide expansion. He noted that the brand was eager to bring its concept to what he described as one of the region’s most dynamic and promising markets.

"This step into one of the region’s most dynamic and promising markets is an important milestone in our global journey," he said.

Food Quest CEO Karim Hajjali stated that the chain’s health- and lifestyle-oriented concept would resonate well with Turkish consumers, building what he expects will be a strong connection with local customers.

Detailing the company’s expansion strategy in Türkiye, Joe & The Juice Türkiye Brand Manager Tugcan Dagci said the company is prioritizing popular destinations for upcoming openings. "After starting in Istanbul, we will expand to Ankara and Izmir, as well as to tourist destinations such as Bodrum and Cesme," she added.
