Registration and appointment scheduling have officially opened for buyer travel agencies ahead of the 4th GlobeMeets B2B Networking Event, scheduled to take place on September 10–11, 2026, at Rixos Tersane Istanbul.
Organized under the motto "The Meeting Point Beyond Borders," this year’s edition features Azerbaijan as the official Country Partner.
Unlike conventional trade fairs, the closed-door platform is not open to the general public and operates strictly through invitation, accreditation, and pre-scheduled appointments. The upcoming gathering is expected to draw more than 1,000 buyer travel agencies from Istanbul, alongside nearly 100 international buyer agencies invited from around the world. Additionally, GlobeMeets is hosting 300 buyer agencies traveling from 40 different cities across Türkiye.
The digital appointment platform opened first to Istanbul-based and international buyers earlier in the week, before being activated for hosted agencies from across Türkiye. Once invited agencies finalize their registration profiles via email, they can book direct business meetings with destination management companies operating in more than 50 countries.
The platform also features national tourism boards from 11 countries, nearly 20 airlines, cruise operators, international hotel chains, insurance providers, outlet centers, and tourism technology developers.
For its fourth edition, the event is introducing an integrated QR code tracking infrastructure. Under the new system, both buyer agencies and exhibiting service providers will scan each other's badges during scheduled and unscheduled meetings across the two-day summit.
Exhibitors can rate meetings, submit performance feedback, and record attendance in real time. Organizers stated that the data collected through the system will allow the team to measure overall meeting traffic and analyze the commercial business volume generated during the event.
