New deputy governor named at CBRT

At the CBRT, Yusuf Emre Akgunduz was appointed to fill the vacancy left by former Deputy Governor Cevdet Akcay.

Akcay, one of the leading figures behind the central bank’s monetary policies following the launch of the disinflation program, retired after reaching the age of 65.

Before his appointment, Akgunduz served as the bank’s executive director and was involved in research and monetary policy studies within the institution.
