Internationally recognized reggae and dancehall artist Shaggy is set to take the stage in Istanbul on June 25, bringing his signature sound to audiences as part of a major urban music festival in Türkiye’s cultural hub.
The performance will take place at the Istanbul Congress Center, where the artist is scheduled to appear on the Open Air Stage within the framework of the INCORE Urban Festival. The event is expected to bring together a mix of international and local talent, reflecting the diversity of contemporary urban music scenes.
Alongside Shaggy, several names from the hip hop scene will join the lineup, including M Lisa, Kaan Gokman, Zanna, Arden Child, Gwen De Lien, Goktug Gonche and Atlas, creating a multi-genre program that aims to appeal to a broad audience.
The festival’s stage design and overall visual concept have been prepared by Influx Core, with organizers highlighting that the production meets international standards.
Shaggy, born Orville Richard Burrell in Kingston, Jamaica, is a globally recognized figure in reggae and dancehall music who rose to international fame in the 1990s and early 2000s. He broke through with hits such as “Boombastic,” “It Wasn’t Me,” and “Angel,” songs that helped bring Caribbean sounds into mainstream global charts while shaping the crossover appeal of reggae fusion.
Before launching his music career, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Gulf War, where he developed his distinctive vocal delivery. Over the years, he has earned multiple Grammy Awards and international accolades, while continuing to perform worldwide and collaborate with major artists across genres.
