Istanbul is set to host a broad lineup of cultural events this week, spanning visual arts, performing arts and music across venues on both sides of the Bosphorus.
Pera Museum hosts a talk titled "Exhibition Culture and Halil Pasa" on June 4, as part of the ongoing "By the Water's Edge: The Life and Art of Halil Pasa" exhibition.
A photography exhibition titled "Bir Yol, Bin Hatira" (One Road, A Thousand Memories), curated by Osman Aynaci and drawn from the collection of Fatih Ketanci, is on display at Istanbul Airport's international terminal through June 17.
At Karakoy Palas, the ArtıKUME Art Grants Program 2025 selection and ODAK Exhibition, organized by Kultur Medeniyet Vakfi (KUME), runs through June 17.
The Rami Children and Arts Biennial, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Family and Social Services and hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, transforms books into three-dimensional, immersive spaces and is free to visit at Rami Library through June 15.
Also at Rami Library through June 22, “Words Dedicated to Time” (Zamana Adanmis Sozler) features archival documents, manuscripts, first-edition works and the personal typewriter of poet and intellectual Sezai Karakoc.

Istanbul's stages are equally active this week. "Baba" (Father), a one-act play exploring what it means to be human over time through a father-daughter relationship, is playing at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage.
Actor Sarp Apak brings his stand-up show "Solo Show” (Tek Kisilik Gosteri) to the same venue on June 5.
A Movement Workshop led by choreographer Javier De Frutos, exploring the relationship between performer and choreographer and the freedom of movement, will take place at Sky Lounge on June 6–7, in collaboration with Juste and Zorlu PSM.
The 13th Inter-High School Theater Meeting, organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters in memory of Haldun Dormen, features productions by 1,529 students from 61 high schools and continues through June 11.
Several concerts are scheduled across the city on June 5. Turkish rock artist Kirac performs at Jolly Joker Kartal IstMarina, singer Umit Yasar takes the stage at Muamma Atasehir, and Emre Fel—known for blending traditional Anatolian sounds with modern pop and for songs such as "Nacar" and "Veda Turkusu"—performs at Jolly Joker Atakent Tema.
On June 8, the State Polyphonic Choir presents its "Aurora" concert, named after the northern lights, at AKM.
The Ataturk Cultural Center (AKM) Children's Arts Center hosts a series of workshops for young visitors on June 6.
These include "Theater of Emotions" (Duygular Tiyatrosu) for ages 7–11, led by Tuba Karabey Ozkok and focused on emotional awareness and expression; "Mysterious Island" (Gizemli Ada), which fosters teamwork, problem-solving, and imagination through improvisation; and "Ebru Workshop"(Ebru Atolyesi) for ages 4–6, led by Emine Ugur, developing fine motor skills and creative thinking through traditional marbling techniques.
