Istanbul is set to host a range of cultural events this week, with programming spanning open-air cinema, concerts, workshops for children and museum exhibitions across the city.
CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel Istanbul launches its "Cinema Street" concept this week, running through August with a program combining open-air film screenings, lounge music, film discussions and a competition, curated by Cenk Caner.
Istanbul Kitapcisi's Kadikoy branch, a district on the Asian side of Istanbul, also begins open-air screenings this week on its sea-view terrace starting July 31, featuring films from different eras of cinema.
The Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theater, a venue in central Istanbul, opens its August program this week with the following lineup:
The "Koltuk Senin" app, offering discounted access for people ages 18 to 24, continues through August. Tickets are available through Passo, Biletix and Biletinial.

Istanbul Modern's Summer Art School, for children ages seven to 10, continues on weekdays except Mondays:
The program includes eight workshop topics linked to the museum's current exhibitions, among them photo collage, abstract sculpture and cityscapes. Children who complete at least four workshops receive a certificate.
Seckin Pirim's exhibition "Yesterday and Today" continues at the Serefiye Cistern, a historic Byzantine-era underground cistern near Sultanahmet, presenting contemporary sculpture alongside the site's historic architecture. The works include forms referencing columns and sarcophagi, arranged in relation to the cistern's water surface.
The Pera Museum's collection of works by Osman Hamdi Bey, held by the Suna and Inan Kirac Foundation, continues on view, including "The Tortoise Trainer" and "Girl Reciting the Quran." The collection coincides with a concurrent Orientalist exhibition at the Met in New York.
