Turkish authorities have detained 18 individuals in connection with an ongoing drug investigation overseen by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. A total of 25 suspects are under investigation, and a warrant has been issued for Edis Gorgulu, a popular Turkish singer, who is currently abroad.
The investigation, conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office for Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes, targets individuals suspected of “purchasing, possessing, or using drugs or stimulants” and “facilitating the use of drugs or stimulants.”

Coordinated raids by the Istanbul Police Department’s Narcotics Crimes Unit led to the detention of prominent figures, including businessman Hakan Tuncelli, singer Murat Dalkilic, rock musician Kaan Tangoze, actor Ismail Hacioglu, stylist Kemal Dogulu, former boxer Adem Kılıcci, and social media personality Hakan Kakiz.
