Actors Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott have become first-time parents, welcoming a baby daughter in late July, according to reports. TMZ published photos of Plaza carrying the baby in New York after she and Abbott attended the closing performance of "Death of a Salesman" on Sunday, which marked Abbott's final night in the production.
Abbott played Biff Loman in the Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's play, appearing opposite Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf. The role earned him his first Tony Award nomination, and the couple attended the ceremony together.
Plaza received an Emmy nomination for best supporting actress in a drama series for her role in "The White Lotus" in 2023. She also co-created the Prime Video animated series "Kevin," with additional credits including "Agatha All Along" and "Parks and Recreation."
News of Plaza's pregnancy first surfaced in April. The couple has collaborated professionally on more than one occasion, appearing together in the 2020 film "Black Bear" and in the off-Broadway play "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea."
Plaza, an American actress, comedian and producer, began her career performing improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York. She gained wide recognition playing April Ludgate on the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation" from 2009 to 2015. Her film credits include "Safety Not Guaranteed," "Ingrid Goes West" and "Emily the Criminal," and she played Lenny Busker in the FX series "Legion" from 2017 to 2019.
Abbott, an American actor, made his feature film debut in "Martha Marcy May Marlene" in 2011 and gained recognition playing Charlie Dattolo in the HBO series "Girls." His film credits include "James White," "First Man," "Poor Things," and "Kraven the Hunter." He received a Golden Globe nomination for his role in the Hulu miniseries "Catch-22."
