As Türkiye’s highest peak at 5,137 meters, Mount Agri attracts mountaineers from both Türkiye and abroad year-round.
With the onset of summer climbing season, the region sees a surge in climbers, who ascend in groups to reach the summit and complete their expeditions.
In the northern part of the mountain, two meteor craters have emerged as a popular route for climbers aiming to summit.
Climbers typically spend 8-9 hours ascending to the meteor pits in the Korhan region.
