Osimhen stays in Istanbul for birth of second child as team travels

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen and his partner, Stefanie Ladewig, have had their second child, a daughter named Liora Audrey, the Turkish club announced Thursday.

"We congratulate the couple Victor and Stefanie; we wish their newborn baby Liora Audrey a long, healthy, and happy life," Galatasaray said on X.

Osimhen stayed in Istanbul with his family rather than travel with the squad to Konya for Friday’s Super League match against Konyaspor.

The couple also have a daughter, Hailey, born in October 2022.

Ladewig, a Cameroonian-German model and social media influencer, reportedly met Osimhen in 2019, when he played for Wolfsburg in Germany’s Bundesliga.

Leading Super League scoring race

Osimhen has eight goals and three assists in seven league appearances this season, making him one of the Super League’s top scorers. Galatasaray, the reigning Turkish champions, lead the table after nine matches.

Osimhen also scored in the club’s Champions League match against Lille, ending a four-game scoring drought and netting his first goal of the competition this season.
