Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi that violations of Turkish airspace are unacceptable and that Türkiye will continue taking all necessary measures against them, according to Turkish Foreign Ministry sources.

The remarks came during a phone call between the two officials.

During the conversation, Fidan stressed that the violation of Turkish airspace cannot be accepted.

He said Türkiye would continue to take all necessary measures in response to such incidents.

Call discusses regional security risks

Fidan also said that all sides should avoid actions that could undermine regional security or pose risks to civilians.

He noted that parties must refrain from steps that could threaten stability in the region.

Araghchi told Fidan that the missiles heading toward Turkish airspace did not originate from Iran.

He said a comprehensive investigation would be conducted into the matter.
