According to reports from Türkiye’s daily Hurriyet, Greek Cyprus has begun actively attracting Jewish migrants, particularly from Israel and other parts of the world.
Chief Rabbi Arie Zeev Raskin highlighted a significant surge in Jewish families settling in the region, with the number of permanent Jewish households surpassing 4,000.
Israeli media outlet The Jerusalem Post has revealed that Chikli, recently secured approval from the Greek Cypriot government to establish a "Zionist school" in the coastal city of Limassol.
The school, slated to open in 2027, and currently under construction, is expected to cost $70 million and accommodate 1,500 students, prioritizing Jewish families migrating from outside Israel.
