Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) hinted on Friday at potential attacks on industrial facilities across Gulf countries following U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on its two nuclear sites, as a senior commander urged workers to evacuate.

Brig. Gen. Majid Mousavi, head of the IRGC Aerospace Force, indicated that the response would not follow previous patterns of retaliation.

"Previously, you tested us once; the world has again seen you start playing with fire and attacking infrastructure. This time, the equation will no longer be eye for an eye—wait for it!" he wrote on X. He also called on employees at industrial facilities linked to the United States and Israel to leave their workplaces immediately..

Tehran warns of retaliation

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran would impose a "heavy price" following the strikes, describing them as coordinated actions involving Israel and the United States. He added that the move contradicts U.S. President Donald Trump’s extended deadline for diplomacy. .

Trump earlier extended his deadline for diplomacy by 10 days, delaying planned strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure until April 6 as talks continued. He said the pause followed what he described as progress in negotiations and a request from Tehran for more time.

He had previously warned that failure to reach an agreement would lead to attacks on key Iranian energy sites, including power and oil facilities, while maintaining that discussions were “going very well” despite ongoing hostilities.

US-Israeli strikes hit Iran nuclear sites

Iranian media earlier reported that U.S.-Israeli airstrikes targeted two nuclear facilities in central Iran on Friday, including a heavy water reactor near the Arak nuclear complex and a uranium processing plant in Ardakan.

Iranian authorities said the attacks caused no casualties, structural damage, or radioactive leaks.

The Israeli military also confirmed the attacks, describing the sites as facilities used to produce raw materials for uranium enrichment.

Iran’s barrage on Gulf energy infrastructure

The escalation adds to Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure, following a Mar. 18 strike on the South Pars gas field, the country’s largest natural gas source and a key pillar of its energy system.

In response, Iran expanded its retaliation beyond Israel, targeting energy facilities across the Gulf that it described as linked to U.S. and Israeli interests. Within hours of the South Pars attack, Iranian missiles struck a liquefied natural gas facility in Qatar’s Ras Laffan industrial zone, causing significant damage, according to Qatari officials.

Subsequent strikes hit oil refineries, gas plants, ports and export terminals across the region, including sites in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Following the escalation, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to target Iran’s power grid but later eased tensions by delaying planned military action, citing ongoing negotiations.
