Russian missiles and drones strike Kyiv, Kharkiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Sunday that overnight Russian missile attacks injured three people in Kyiv, while a drone strike on residential buildings in the Kharkiv region killed one person and wounded nine others, including two children.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine intercepted a large portion of the eight missiles and 136 drones launched by Russia overnight. This adds to a heavy week of bombardment, during which Russia fired nearly 1,700 drones, over 1,630 guided bombs, and 95 missiles across the country.

Meanwhile, Russia's Defense Ministry stated its forces carried out overnight precision strikes on Ukraine's military-industrial facilities in Kyiv as well as infrastructure at the port of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region used to receive and store military cargo and fuel for Ukrainian forces.
