U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that Iran and the U.S. could need about one week to reach an agreement on a memorandum of understanding to permanently end the war between them, The Times of Israel reported, citing Fox News.
Trump reportedly made the comment during a phone interview with Fox News when asked about the possible timeframe for the two sides to reach such an agreement.
According to the report, Fox News said Trump sounded cautiously optimistic during the phone interview.
Asked what the timeframe might be for Iran and the U.S. to reach an agreement on a memorandum of understanding permanently ending the war, Trump responded: “One week.”
Trump has been known to give varying timelines related to Iran talks during frequent cold calls he takes from journalists.
