15,000 civilians are being evacuated in Aleppo

A humanitarian corridor has been opened for civilians fleeing the terrorists in the area.

Approximately 15,000 civilians trying to reach the safe corridor are being evacuated through the humanitarian corridor at the Ashrafiyeh and Sheikh Maqsoud intersection point.

Syrian official forces announced that an operation would begin in the area in the afternoon hours, and all civilians were told to leave the neighborhoods.

The PKK/YPG terrorist organization operating under the name SDF shelled residential neighborhoods in Aleppo in northern Syria for the third consecutive day, Syrian media reported.

March 10 agreement not fulfilled by SDF

On March 10, the Syrian presidency announced the signing of an agreement for the SDF's integration into state institutions, reaffirming the country's territorial unity and rejecting any attempts at division.

Syrian authorities say that in the months since, the SDF has not shown any efforts to meet the terms of the agreement.

The Syrian government has intensified efforts to maintain security across the country since the ouster of Bashar al-Assad's regime on Dec. 8, 2024, after 24 years in power.
