Türkiye’s Communications Director Burhanettin Duran held a phone call on Tuesday with Syrian Information Minister Hamza Mustafa to discuss recent developments in Syria, bilateral relations and cooperation against disinformation, Türkiye’s Communications Directorate said.
According to the statement, the two officials exchanged views on the situation in Syria and areas where coordination between Ankara and Damascus could be strengthened.
During the call, Duran said Türkiye would continue to increase its support for Syria in all necessary areas, particularly efforts to combat terrorism and rebuild the country through an inclusive and integrative approach.
He stressed that lasting stability depends on consolidating the principle of “one state, one army” both on the ground and at the institutional level, adding that developments in the information sphere are as decisive as those on the battlefield.
Duran said closer coordination would help counter provocations, disinformation and perception operations, and noted that Türkiye is ready to strengthen cooperation with Syria in this direction.
