Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Reza Talaei-Nik told the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) defense ministers' meeting in Bishkek on Tuesday that Iran was "ready to share its defensive military capabilities with independent countries, especially the member states of the SCO."
"We are ready to share our experiences in defeating America with other members of the organization," he added.
Iranian deputy defense minister also declared that "the United States is no longer in a position to dictate its policy to independent nations" and would be forced to "abandon its illegal and irrational demands."
Talaei-Nik, who arrived in Bishkek for the April 28 SCO Defense Ministers' summit and was received at the airport by Kyrgyzstan Armed Forces Air Defense Commander Maj. Gen. Talantbek Talipov, addressed the meeting directly.
"We are ready to share the experiences of America's defeat with other members of the organisation," he said.
He added that Iran was "ready to share its defensive military capabilities with independent countries, especially the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization."
Talaei-Nik also issued a broader challenge to Washington's global posture.
"The United States is no longer in a position to dictate its policy to independent nations," he said, adding that Washington would "accept that it must abandon its illegal and irrational demands."
The Iranian official had held talks with Russian and Belarusian defense personnel on the sidelines of the summit, with Moscow and Minsk both stressing their intention to continue cooperation with Tehran.
