Anadolu Efes will take on Serbian side Crvena zvezda away from home on today as the Turkish club looks to extend its recent winning momentum in Round 29 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Europe’s top-tier professional basketball competition.
The matchup will be played at Belgrade Arena in Serbia’s capital, with tip-off scheduled for 10:30 p.m. local Turkish time.
Anadolu Efes heads into the contest after a challenging start to the season, having struggled to build consistency across its EuroLeague campaign. The Istanbul-based club has recorded nine wins and nineteen losses across twenty-eight games so far, a record that has kept the team outside the upper positions in the standings.
Despite those difficulties, Efes has recently turned things around, stringing together three consecutive victories. All three wins came at home, where the team managed to build rhythm and push past its opponents with convincing performances.
The Turkish side defeated Valencia Basket 107-90, followed by a 92-82 win over Zalgiris Kaunas, before closing the stretch with a dominant 91-60 victory against Virtus Bologna. Those results have helped the team regain confidence as it now heads into a demanding away fixture.
Crvena zvezda, known internationally as Red Star Belgrade, enters the game with a stronger overall record this season.
The Serbian club has secured sixteen wins against twelve defeats in twenty-eight games, placing it tenth in the EuroLeague standings heading into Round 29.
When the two teams met earlier in the campaign in Istanbul, Crvena zvezda came away with a clear 87-65 victory.
