Chelsea have made Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott a priority target for the January transfer window, with the Premier League club reportedly setting a £100 million (over $130 million) asking price for the 23-year-old.
The London club are preparing to return with another approach after Bournemouth turned down a £64 million offer during the summer transfer window.
Bournemouth are seeking £100 million to let Scott leave, raising the potential cost of a deal by £36 million compared with Chelsea's previously rejected offer.
The midfielder has already turned down an offer to extend his contract with Bournemouth, while his current agreement is set to run until June 2028.
Despite the earlier rejection, Chelsea are expected to step up their pursuit of Scott when the January transfer window opens.
