Fenerbahce is preparing a major move to appoint Antonio Conte as their next head coach, with a proposed salary package of around €15 million per year, according to a report by Corriere dello Sport.
The report claims that presidential candidate Hakan Safi is actively considering Conte as a central figure in his sporting project ahead of the club’s upcoming presidential election. The plan is also said to include a broader restructuring of the football department, with former AC Milan executive Paolo Maldini mentioned as a potential consultant.
However, any concrete steps are expected to depend on the outcome of the election, which is scheduled to take place this weekend.
Conte, who recently left Napoli after completing a strong season, is currently assessing his next career move. The Italian coach, who has previously managed Juventus, Inter, Chelsea, Tottenham and the Italy national team, has not yet made a final decision regarding his future.
Fenerbahce is not alone in the race for the 55-year-old.
According to the same report, Conte has also received two significant offers from Saudi Arabia, with financial packages reportedly exceeding €25 million per season.
