Fenerbahce is reportedly preparing a major bid to sign Napoli’s Cameroonian midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa during the upcoming January transfer window, aiming to strengthen its squad for both domestic and European success.
After narrowing the point gap with league leaders Galatasaray, the Istanbul club is said to be ready to offer more than €20 million (over $23 million) for Anguissa, according to Fotomac.
The 29-year-old is also being courted by Galatasaray and several clubs from the Middle East, Italian media reported.
Born in Yaounde, Cameroon, in 1995, Anguissa began his career with Coton Sport before moving to France, where he joined Marseille in 2015.
He later signed with Fulham in the Premier League, spending time on loan at Villarreal before securing a move to Napoli in 2021.
After his loan spell, Napoli made the transfer permanent in 2022. Anguissa played a vital role in Napoli’s first Serie A title in 33 years, notably scoring twice in a 3–1 win over Torino and netting his first Champions League goal against Liverpool.
On the international stage, he has represented Cameroon since 2017, scoring in the FIFA Confederations Cup and appearing in multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, as well as the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Known for his physical dominance, tactical intelligence, and aerial strength, Anguissa brings balance to midfield rather than relying on dribbling flair.
Recently assuming the captaincy of Cameroon’s national team, he has become a key figure both on and off the pitch.
