Galatasaray has issued an official statement denying reports that it has reached an agreement to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala, according to NTV Spor.
The Turkish club addressed the speculation directly through its social media accounts, stating that recent reports about an agreement with the German international do not reflect the truth.
In its statement, Galatasaray said a need had arisen to inform the public due to news that had been deliberately circulated about the club, calling the reports inaccurate.
The club stated that claims suggesting Musiala would transfer to Galatasaray are false, adding that the persistent circulation of these claims, despite being clearly shown to be untrue, amounts to an effort to mislead the public and damage the reputation of the club's transfer operations.
Galatasaray also noted that the individuals and outlets behind the speculation had made similar unfounded claims during the previous season. The club said it conducts its transfer operations in line with its own interests, with a high degree of care and confidentiality, and stated that false reports and speculative claims would not affect its working principles or objectives.
Galatasaray concluded its statement by asking the public and its supporters to rely only on its official announcements, and not to give credibility to reports or speculation that do not reflect the truth, or to the individuals and outlets repeatedly spreading them.
The speculation had originally emerged in Turkish media, which reported that Musiala had been offered to Galatasaray on loan and that talks between the parties were progressing, with some reports even suggesting an agreement had already been reached.
Musiala remains under contract with Bayern Munich until 2030, and reports from German media have similarly downplayed any suggestion that the 23-year-old midfielder is set to leave the club.
