Galatasaray has joined Juventus and Milan in showing interest in Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes as uncertainty continues over the Portuguese midfielder's future at Old Trafford, according to a report cited by Turkish media on Thursday.
BBC football correspondent Simon Stone reported that the three clubs are keeping tabs on the 31-year-old, whose current Manchester United contract is entering its final year.
Fernandes reportedly has a £57 million release clause that applies to clubs outside England, setting out the fee under his contract for a potential overseas move. However, no club has made a formal offer so far, while Manchester United's position on any possible approach remains unclear.
Manchester United holds the option to extend Fernandes' existing deal by another season, although the club and its captain have yet to reach an agreement over a new contract.
Fernandes' priority is reportedly to stay at Manchester United, and he would be open to spending the rest of his career with the Premier League club. His previously stated ambition to compete for trophies with United also remains unchanged.
However, Manchester United's efforts to keep its wage bill under control could complicate negotiations, particularly as Fernandes' performances and contribution put him in a position to seek a significant pay rise.
Galatasaray is not alone in following Fernandes, with Juventus and Milan also named among the clubs interested in the Portugal international.
Fernandes produced nine goals and 21 assists in the Premier League last season, helping Manchester United finish third and return to the Champions League.
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is also reported to be keen on keeping one of his most important players, leaving Fernandes' future likely to depend on the outcome of contract talks and whether firm offers come in from abroad.
