Lionel Messi extended his record as the most decorated footballer in history after winning the 2026 CONCACAF Champions Cup with Inter Miami, taking his career total to 48 trophies.
The 39-year-old Argentine also scored as Inter Miami beat Mexican side Cruz Azul 2-0 in the final, with the goal marking his 100th for the U.S. club.
The latest success added another trophy to a career in which Messi has won titles with all three clubs he has represented, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Miami, as well as with the Argentina national team.
Messi has now collected 42 trophies at club level and another six with Argentina, bringing his overall tally to 48.
His club career has been dominated by his spell at Barcelona, where he won 35 trophies, including 10 La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey trophies and four UEFA Champions League titles.
He later picked up three trophies with Paris Saint-Germain, including two Ligue 1 titles, before adding four more with Inter Miami: the Leagues Cup, MLS Supporters' Shield, MLS Cup and CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese star who emerged alongside Messi as one of football's leading figures during the 2000s, has won 35 trophies during his career.
Messi has also won six trophies with Argentina, including the FIFA World Cup, two Copa America titles and the Finalissima.
His international collection also includes an Olympic title and the FIFA U-20 World Cup, completing a career total that now stands at 48 major honors.
