Türkiye may have found its next attacking sensation. On a night when the U18 National Team swept aside Gibraltar with a resounding 7–0 victory, it was 17-year-old debutant Thierry Darnel Karadeniz who stole the spotlight.

With two goals in just seven minutes, the young forward turned a routine opening fixture into a statement performance, instantly emerging as the new star of Turkish youth football and a name set to dominate headlines in the years ahead.

Karadeniz announces himself on the big stage

Seventeen-year-old forward Thierry Darnel Karadeniz delivered a brilliant performance on his national team debut, scoring twice within seven minutes. The young attacker found the net in the 33rd and 40th minutes, playing a decisive role in establishing Türkiye’s early dominance.

Born in Germany in 2008 to an African mother and a Turkish father, Karadeniz has developed through the youth ranks of 1. FC Koln, a club competing in the Bundesliga. Currently featuring at the U19 level, he has gained valuable experience in one of Europe’s most competitive development systems.
