The Ministry of National Defense reported that 11 PKK terrorists identified in the Hakurk, Metina and Gara regions of Iraq were eliminated.

In a statement, the ministry said, "Our Turkish Armed Forces are not giving terrorists any breathing room. Eleven PKK terrorists identified in the Hakurk, Metina and Gara regions in northern Iraq were eliminated. We are determined and resolute in our aim to eliminate terrorism at its source."
PKK terrorist group which has offshoots in Iraq and Syria, has been waging a terror campaign against Türkiye for more than 40 years. Listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the United States and the European Union, the group has been responsible for the death of some 40,000 people, including women and children.
