Brand Week Istanbul goes into ‘Turbulence’ with star-studded global lineup

Brand Week Istanbul will return to Istanbul on Nov. 4-6 under the theme "Turbulence," bringing together figures from the creative industries, communications, technology, culture and business at the Halic Congress Center.

The three-day event, which has hosted speakers from fields ranging from creativity and economics to technology and culture since 2013, will feature panels, workshops and training programs focused on the forces reshaping brands and consumer behavior.

Sessions will look into technological developments, changing consumer habits and shifts across the business world, while artificial intelligence will also come up alongside developments in sports, e-commerce, automotive and retail.

International speakers take on creativity, money and technology

Oscar-winning filmmaker Asghar Farhadi will appear alongside film producer Zeynep Atakan, while Visa Global Chief Marketing Officer Frank Cooper III will discuss the relationship between culture and money.

Robotics scientist and humanoid robot designer Hiroshi Ishiguro will focus on the relationship between humans and technology, while Red Bull pilot and Guinness World Record holder Dario Costa will share his experience in risk management.

The lineup will also bring in figures from Türkiye's arts, media and business sectors. Actress and singer Zuhal Olcay will discuss how reputation is built on stage and screen, while Burcin Terzioglu, Cagla Sikel, Acun Ilicali and Mehmet Gunsur are also scheduled to speak.

Yekta Kopan will host the Inspiration stage throughout the three days, while M. Serdar Kuzuloglu and Nazli Selin will appear on the Brands & Trends stage.

The program will close with a "Secret Speakers" session whose guests will not be revealed before the event.

Training programs broaden focus beyond main stage

Alongside the main program, Brand Week Istanbul will run a series of academies and training sessions covering marketing, strategy, media, sales, content creation and filmmaking.

Brand Academy will examine the future of marketing through creativity, consistency and curiosity, while Strategy Academy will focus on brand architecture, positioning and segmentation.

WPP Media Academy will cover media planning and data-driven decision-making in the age of artificial intelligence, while Sales Academy will take up persuasion, trust and new markets.

Creator Economy Academy will focus on content creators and the future of the sector, while Future Film Academy will explore how artificial intelligence and human creativity can work together.

KID CommsCamp will bring university students seeking careers in communications together with industry professionals, while Portfolio Meetings, held in cooperation with Creative Society, will connect young designers and their work with experienced figures from the creative industries.
