A glass observation deck perched atop a rocky formation 240 meters (787 feet) high in the Torul district of Gumushane, in northern Türkiye, welcomed 67,786 visitors this season.
Located next to Torul Castle and covering an area of 90 square meters, the glass observation deck offers visitors a bird's-eye view of the district.
Positioned close to major regional tourist destinations such as Zigana Mountain, Lake Limni, and Karaca Cave, the deck is attracting interest from both domestic and foreign visitors.
Opened to the public approximately eight years ago, the glass observation deck gives visitors the opportunity to admire panoramic views from above while also discovering the natural and historical beauty of the surrounding region.
Ahmad Elsamman, who came from Egypt, said that the glass observation deck has a very beautiful view.
Elsamman said that he shares photos of the tourist sites he visits on his social media accounts, adding that these posts increase interest in the region among people in different countries.
Elsamman noted that the transfer of Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah to Trabzonspor made the Egyptian public happy and said that this development also increased interest in Trabzon and its surrounding areas.
Hasan Korkmaz, who has worked in the tourism sector for 15 years, also said that the season had been a busy one.
Korkmaz stated that there had been an increase in the number of visitors coming to the region from Egypt following Salah's transfer to Trabzonspor.
Explaining that foreign tourists visiting the region share their experiences on social media, Korkmaz said, "Foreign visitors have groups on their social media accounts. They come here. They are pleased with it here. They post about it in their groups. They encourage others as well. They recommend the tourism destinations here to one another."
