Renowned French composer, pianist and multi-instrumentalist Yann Tiersen will give a concert at Maximum Uniq Open-Air in Istanbul on June 20, 2026. Organized by StagePass, ticket sales will open on Nov. 7.
Tiersen began his musical journey at the age of 4, mastering the piano before forming his first band at 13. He later stepped into the punk rock scene, experimenting with guitar, synthesizer, and other electronic instruments.
Over time, he developed a distinctive sound that combines classical music, folk, and electronic elements.
Tiersen gained international recognition for composing the soundtrack of the 2001 French film "Amelie," which remains one of the most iconic scores in contemporary cinema.
His music is known for its delicate balance between minimalism and emotional depth, often blending acoustic and electronic textures.
Earlier this year, Tiersen released Rathlin from a "Distance – The Liquid Hour," a two-part album featuring eight piano compositions that invite listeners on a contemplative musical journey.
During his Istanbul performance, he is expected to interpret a selection of his most beloved works, offering audiences an immersive live experience.
