Karol G, Rosalia lead 2026 Latin Grammy nominations

The Latin Recording Academy revealed the nominees for the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards on Wednesday, Sept. 16, with Karol G and Rosalia emerging among the top contenders.

The two stars are tied at the top of the artist field with seven nominations, sharing the honor with Jorge Drexler and the duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso.

Seven countries, one category

Karol G secured Record and Song of the Year nominations for her collaboration with Marco Antonio Solis, "Coleccionando Heridas," along with an Album of the Year nod for "Tropicoqueta." Rosalia matched this feat, picking up Record and Song of the Year nominations for "La Perla" (featuring Yahritza y Su Esencia) alongside an Album of the Year nomination for her LP "Lux."

Jorge Drexler and the duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso also nominated in all three top categories.

Highlighting the global reach of the ceremony, the Album of the Year category boasts broad international representation with additional nominations for Anitta, Carin Leon, Silvana Estrada, Mon Laferte, Milo J, and Rawayana, spanning seven countries including Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay.

Producer pulling strings

Behind the performers, Mexican hitmaker Edgar Barrera leads the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards overall with 10 nominations when accounting for songwriting and production credits.

Barrera played a key role across several major contenders, contributing to Karol G’s Album of the Year nominee "Tropicoqueta," Cain Leon’s "Muda," and Becky G and Carlos Santana’s "Mi Gran Amor," which also secured a nod for Song of the Year.

Final-round voting for the 2026 Latin Grammys opens Oct. 1. The 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 12 on Univision (TelevisaUnivision platforms).
