The Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Türkiye have officially implemented a mutual visa exemption agreement for holders of ordinary passports, eliminating visa requirements for short-term tourist travel between the two countries.
Under the agreement, Omani citizens may enter Türkiye without obtaining a visa in advance and are permitted to stay for up to 90 days within any 180 days.
In return, Turkish citizens will be allowed to travel to Oman visa-free for up to 30 days per entry, provided that their total stay does not exceed 90 days within 180 days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman advised its citizens traveling to Türkiye to ensure that their passports are valid for at least six months from the date of entry. The ministry also recommended that travelers obtain health insurance covering the duration of their visit.
Officials from both sides stated that the agreement is expected to enhance tourism, facilitate travel and further strengthen diplomatic and people-to-people ties between Türkiye and Oman.
