Besiktas has intensified its search for a new head coach, with Italian manager Vincenzo Italiano emerging as one of the club’s primary targets.

According to reports in the Italian press, the Black Eagles have submitted a formal offer to the 48-year-old coach, proposing a two-year contract worth €6 million net per season.

In addition, Italiano’s technical staff is reportedly offered a combined €2.5 million net per season, bringing the total package to approximately €8.5 million annually.

First coaching experience abroad

If the move is completed, it would mark the first time in Vincenzo Italiano’s managerial career that he works outside Italy.

Vincenzo Italiano has managed Arzignano Valchiampo, Trapani, Spezia, Fiorentina and Bologna during his coaching career.

He started at Arzignano Valchiampo before taking charge of Trapani, where he worked in Serie C and gained attention for his results. He then moved to Spezia, leading the club to promotion to Serie A.

After that, he coached Fiorentina for three seasons in Serie A and European competitions.

His most recent job was at Bologna, where he won the Coppa Italia and managed the team in both domestic and European competitions before leaving the club.
