Istanbul club Besiktas is awaiting Mohamed Salah's decision after submitting its final offer for the Egyptian star, club president Serdal Adali confirmed.

The Black-White club's former Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Hassan, meanwhile, claimed the deal has been completed, and an official announcement is expected soon.

Final bid awaits response

Adali said Besiktas has held extensive talks with Salah and his representatives over every aspect of the proposed transfer before presenting what he described as the club's final offer.

"We told Salah and his agent that we expect them to inform us of their decision shortly," Adali said.

He added that Besiktas had reviewed every requested increase and amendment throughout the negotiations while keeping the club's interests in mind before putting forward its last proposal.

"Since our first meetings, we have evaluated every requested increase and amendment within the framework of Besiktas' interests and presented our final offer. The decision is now on the player's side, and we expect a response soon," Adali told Turkish media.

Meanwhile, Hassan fueled speculation over the transfer by posting on Facebook that the move had already been finalized. "The deal is done. It will be announced shortly," the former Besiktas midfielder wrote, without mentioning Salah by name.

Salah deal nears finish

Turkish media reports say Salah has agreed to Besiktas' proposed two-year contract worth a guaranteed €10 million per season, with negotiations later shifting to financial terms between the club and the player's representatives.

According to the reports, Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, initially sought a €7.5 million commission before reducing the demand to €5 million, while Besiktas also improved its offer, significantly narrowing the gap between the two sides.

Salah, 34, joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017 and went on to become one of the club's greatest players. During his nine seasons at Anfield, he won two Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup, two League Cups, the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, scoring 255 goals in 435 appearances to rank third on Liverpool's all-time scoring list.

Although his final campaign was less prolific than previous seasons, Salah still recorded 12 goals and 10 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions before leaving the club as a free agent.

Salah also captained Egypt at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, helping the team reach the round of 16 before turning his focus to deciding his next club.
